Fun with Logo

The version of Logo I'm using here is MSW Logo, available as a free download.

Some people will tell you that Logo is only suitable for small children, which is why I find it so much fun to investigate fractals with it. Abelson and DiSessa used it to model special relativitiy and the relationship between predators and their prey in their book on Turtle Geometry.

MSW Logo has some interesting user interface commands you can use to make a front end to a Logo-based application.

Communicating across networks with Logo can be fun too. One summer I got bored and wrote a simple chat procedure that would allow users to send messages and run snippets of code on eachother's machines. Lots of fun - for a language supposedly only suitable for primary school children!
